The Tree is Up!!!

One of our Xmas traditions is that we take it in turns to choose what colour decorations to put on the tree and this year Kim and I chose white and silver and it looks gorgeous, very different from normal but I like it!!

Lucy of course tried to help put some of the decorations up, especially a small fluffy white owl one that I’ve got which we put near the top of the tree out of temptation!!  The above layout is a Digital Quick Page.

Sunday Catch Up (again!)

Such a busy week work wise not had much time to do any crafting except for these  two layouts which I had on my desk waiting to be finished.

Last night Neil and I went to the ‘Electric Forest’ at Thetford Forest billed as a ‘dreamlike journey through the forest’, well it wasn’t.  It cost us £15.00 each for an hour walking in the dark with torches most of the time with only a couple of fairly decent displays towards the end of the walk.

Weekend Catch Up

This morning has been a very very misty morning you  can hardly see anything in front of you.  For our walk this morning we went to one of our faves along the river which is a very long one and where Lucy goes crazy!!!  The second photo shows Lucy’s path to happiness where she ran off chasing birds into the mist. Two layouts from this week.  The first is of Neil and I taken in September, papers are American Crafts Amy Tangrine line and I cut out the papers using a chevron template which is all the fashion at the moment.  Second layout is using some photos from last year or could have been the year before taken in Cambridge.

Christmas Daily Part 2

31 index cards later my Xmas Daily is all done.  To some I added some spray mist, some some stamps etc.   The papers were all from the Random Crate range.  Just realised I need to make a cover index card so will do that in a minute.

The layout below is one I did a couple of weeks ago after seeing a similar one on someones blog who i’ve forgotten who it was.  I made the pink circles by spraying mist paint through a  toilet roll tube, perfect circles!! (not my idea!).

December Daily

Its that time of year again when all crafters/scrappers are planning their December/Xmas planners/journals/albums etc.  I’ve decided to do something a little bit different this year as I’ve found that now my kids are teenagers and we don’t have visits to Santa or Grottos any more that Xmas is a quietier affair activities wise.  So i’ve decided to do a ‘December Daily’ taking a photo every day during the month of December.  I’ve gone with 6×4 index cards and embellished one corner of the card and used stamps and paints to decorate the front leaving room for journalling.  The photo will be glued on the back.  The photo below shows all the punch outs that I did , I’ll be back later with some of the finished cards.  I’ve got one of the 7Gypsies Library Card Drawers that I will use to put them in.
